Utlity Projects
Waters & Bugbee is a recognized leader in the New Jersey utility construction sector, with a wide range of construction utility experience since the company’s beginning. The team’s expertise includes service of Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer and Communications projects in the following areas: the installation and repair of water, sewer or gas mains; the installation of underground electric conduits and transformer manholes; and the construction of transformer pier foundations for electric substations. Waters & Bugbee’s particular project experience includes: relocating and upgrading the dry utilities throughout the City of Camden to enable the South Jersey Light Rail Train Project; managing all facets of PSE&G's underground gas, electric and substation work for over 30 years; and providing services for Verizon in all areas of underground construction for over 40 years.
Building Construction
The success of Waters & Bugbee’s Building Construction Division can be attributed to long-term industry experience, valuable subcontractor relationships and good project management. The company’s responsive, well organized and detail oriented team successfully brought to completion the award winning 9,000 square foot Mountain View Golf Course Clubhouse project for the Mercer County Park Commission. The company’s extensive experience designing and construction streetscapes and parks uniquely enhances its Building Construction Division.
Streetscapes & Parks
Waters & Bugbee has designed, managed and implemented the reconstruction and landscaping of grounds, streets, sidewalks and parks. This construction of unique scenic spaces is a valuable service the company provides for an extensive list of townships, cities, historical locations and academic environments. Some of Waters & Bugbee’s particular project experience in this area includes: reconstructing and landscaping the outside grounds and courtyard area for the historical William Trent House in Trenton, NJ; removing a 20 square block area of existing sidewalks and redesigning the area with brick curbs, trees and pavers as part of the Camden Waterfront Redevelopment Project; and transforming an empty inner city playground into the Italian-themed Agabiti Plaza in Trenton, NJ.
Emergency Services
Waters & Bugbee has been performing emergency services repair work since its inception. The reliability of the team has earned them notable emergency service contracts. For over 10 years, the company has been the emergency services repair contractor for The College of NJ. Some of the work performed has included repairing damaged underground facilities such as water mains, steam lines, and sewer lines. In addition, the East Windsor Municipal Utility Authority has called on Waters & Bugbee for over eight years to repair damaged water and sewer facilities on an on-call basis. Most recently hired by the State of New Jersey’s Department of Property Management & Construction, Waters & Bugbee repaired a collapsed inner city culvert at the Capitol Plaza in Trenton, NJ and secured the area with the necessary concrete and grading work on very short notice.
